Core Goal: Achieve a scene restoration rate of approximately 90%, emphasizing the realistic presentation of details, texture, and overall atmosphere.
Design and Infrastructure Construction: The Foundation of Accuracy
Accuracy begins with detailed planning. Our design team meticulously models the terrain based on reference or design drawings, moving beyond simple size scaling to refine road slopes, curbstone curves, and green belt hierarchy for optimal visual fidelity from a micro perspective.
- Chassis and Subgrade Modeling: Constructed using high-density foam board and multi-layer composite materials, ensuring a lightweight, robust structure that maintains its shape. The subgrade features precisely cut and spliced ABS boards, creating the initial terrain (gentle slopes, intersection connections).
- Surface Texture Treatment: This is critical for realism. Instead of smooth plastic, we apply a specialized gypsum/mineral particle mixture, carefully scraped and rolled onto the ABS surface to mimic asphalt texture, achieving a random, authentic feel unattainable with prefabricated parts.
Craftsmanship of Detail Elements: The Soul of Realism
The true character of our models lies in the intricate details, achieved through a “sub-item production, overall assembly” strategy.
- Traffic Markings and Signs: Employing high-precision inkjet cutting for water stickers ensures sharp, thin lines (linear, arrows, zebra crossings) that perfectly integrate with the prepared road surface.
- Green Vegetation: Creates natural vitality. Grass utilizes dyed sponge powder and an electrostatic planting machine for upright, realistic texture. Trees feature metal wire skeletons, coated with specialized glue and colored vegetation powder to simulate layered foliage.
- Supporting Facilities & Vehicles: Traffic signs and street lights are laser-cut acrylic for precision. Vehicles are injection-molded from high-quality white molds, ensuring excellent base for subsequent painting and smooth finish.
Post-Processing and Coloring: Bringing the Model to Life
This final stage transforms components into a dynamic, believable scene, utilizing “layering and washing” techniques to eliminate a toy-like appearance.
- Basic Color & Light & Shadow: A unified primer enhances adhesion. Road coloring involves subtle transitions using various shades (dark gray, warm gray, brown) via spray pens to simulate sunlight and wear. Green belts use light/dark green zones for enhanced three-dimensionality.
- Staining & Dry Cleaning: Techniques to deepen detail realism. Diluted dark brown stain paint is applied to highlight grooves and texture. “Dry sweeping” with light gray paint simulates wear on the road surface and sign edges.
- Simulation of Life Traces: Achieving 90% realism involves adding subtle usage traces: oil stains, water marks near drains, dust on vehicle tires, making the model feel like a scene captured just after a car passed by.
